Electro-Faustus is a wild little pedal company out of New York that’s been making experimental noise machines since 2008. Founded by Joe Vella and Eric Kessel, these guys specialize in weird, wonderful sound devices that throw traditional tones out the window. They’ve got everything from the Drone Thing—an oscillator-based chaos machine—to the Guitar Disruptor, a pedal designed to absolutely mangle your signal in the best way possible. If you’re into unconventional sounds, glitchy goodness, or just making a racket, Electro-Faustus is one of those companies you need to check out. We’ve been fans of Electro-Faustus since we started our shop, and we’re excited to announce that our latest shipment just arrived! Everything is now in stock both in-store and on our webstore.

Their latest creation, Vulcan’s Hammer, is a straight-up sonic warper. It’s a frequency generator that lets you create wild oscillations by rotating the unit in a 180-degree field—like you’re literally hammering sound waves into existence. It ranges from deep, throbbing tones to piercing highs, and it’s designed to be as unpredictable as it is fun. We put it to the test with the Gamechanger Audio Light Pedal and the Earthquaker Devices Data Corrupter, and the results were pure chaos—in the best way possible. Check out the video to your right to see (and hear) for yourself!
