Spira Guitars - Modern metal guitars without the premium price tag

  • electric guitars, spira, spira guitars

If you haven’t heard of Spira Guitars yet, you’re not alone — but that’s changing fast.
Hailing from Slovenia, Spira is the modern, metal-focused sister brand of Jet Guitars. Where Jet leans vintage, Spira delivers sharp, aggressive designs built for today’s players: roasted maple necks, locking tuners, hot pickups, and body shapes that mean business — all at prices that won’t make your wallet cry.

The guitars are designed in Slovenia, built in China under tight quality control, and aimed squarely at musicians who want premium playability without boutique-level costs. And right now, we have several of Spira’s standout models in stock here in Estonia.

Why Spira Is Turning Heads

Spira doesn’t just tick the “modern guitar” boxes — it refines them. Even players used to much more expensive instruments are finding these guitars shockingly good for the price. Here’s why:

  • Roasted maple necks with rolled edges for a smooth, broken-in feel.

  • Tech ebony fingerboards — a stable, ebony-like material with a sleek, fast surface.

  • Locking tuners for quick, stable tuning changes.

  • Jumbo frets (many feel like stainless steel) for slick bending and effortless speed.

  • Spira-designed pickups voiced for high gain but still clean up beautifully.

  • Thoughtful touches like factory-installed fret wraps to tame unwanted resonance.

  • Even a right-angle cable included in the box.

How They Play?

Multiple reviewers have compared Spira’s neck feel to far more expensive custom shop models — one even likened it to their ESP Japan Custom Shop Eclipse. The fretwork is clean, the setups are surprisingly good straight out of the box, and the resonance is impressive for this price range.

The pickups are voiced for metal first, but they aren’t one-trick ponies: clean tones remain full and rich, avoiding the “thin bridge pickup” problem many budget guitars suffer from. Add a chorus pedal, and you’re in lush, shimmering territory.

The Spira Promise

When Spira launched, their goal was clear: offer modern, high-spec guitars at a price that encourages players to actually take them to gigs, rehearsals, and recording sessions — not just keep them in the case.

In other words:

  • If you’re a beginner — you’re getting pro-spec features your first guitar normally wouldn’t have.

  • If you’re an experienced player — you might just find yourself reaching for a Spira over guitars costing twice as much.
