The Hotone Freqlux is a professional stereo tri-pitch engine from the NeonGlow series, featuring three fully independent pitch voices with per-voice control over mode, interval, pan, level, and modulation. With five pitch modes — PolyShift, KeyTrack, Detune, ARP, and Mod Only — it covers everything from classic harmonisation and detuned chorus effects to rhythmic arpeggios and standalone modulation. Ultra-low 4ms latency, 32-bit AD/DA conversion, and a fully analog dry-through path make it equally at home in the studio or on stage.
Hotone NeonGlow Freqlux – Tri-Pitch Engine
Part of Hotone's premium NeonGlow series, the Freqlux is a creative pitch-processing powerhouse built for musicians who think in more than one voice at a time. Introduced at NAMM 2026 as the second pedal in the NeonGlow lineup — following the acclaimed Verbera Convolution Reverb — the Freqlux shares the same core processing architecture and control philosophy while dedicating its entire engine to pitch.
Three Fully Independent Pitch Voices
At the heart of the Freqlux are three completely separate pitch engines (H1, H2, H3), each configurable with its own mode, interval, pan position, level, tone, modulation speed and depth, and even individual delay trails with MIDI clock sync. Mix and match modes across voices to build complex, layered harmonies that would be impossible with a conventional harmoniser.
Five Pitch Modes
- Poly Mode – Flawless polyphonic pitch shifting that preserves chord structure and articulation. Large chords stay intact; fast passages stay clean.
- Key Mode – Set a key and scale, and the Freqlux generates musically intelligent harmonies that move with your playing. Classic harmony tones with modern precision.
- Detune Mode – Micro pitch offsets layered with your dry signal for massive chorus-like width and thickness without losing clarity.
- ARP Mode – Combines polyphonic pitch shifting with Flux or Auto Flux to generate real-time arpeggios locked to your selected scale. A completely new way to play.
- Mod Mode – Bypasses pitch shifting entirely and uses an independent modulation engine for tremolo and other modulation effects.
Deep Real-Time Control
Every parameter — pitch interval, modulation depth, delay time, feedback, pan, level — is addressable via MIDI CC, and the pedal supports MIDI clock sync for rhythmically locked effects. An expression pedal input allows real-time manipulation of assignable parameters, while dual footswitch modes give you flexible live control. The intuitive LCD display and LED-ringed rotary controls make navigating deep settings fast and hands-on. With 100 factory presets and space for 100 user programs, your entire creative library is always with you.
Studio-Grade Signal Path
High-performance 32-bit internal processing and AD/DA conversion ensure pristine audio quality across the full pitch range, while the analog dry-through circuitry keeps your original signal completely clean when the effect is bypassed. Ultra-low 4ms latency means pitch tracking feels instant and natural, even at fast tempos.
