Features
- Granular texture and soundscape pedal.
- Three unique modes for ambient and experimental sound design.
- Grain Cloud mode uses dual taps reading from a feedback delay line to create granular textures with adjustable grain size.
- Grain Verb mode surrounds granular textures with a dense, washed-out reverb where grains are fully embedded in the reverb.
- Forward / Reverse Verb mode runs forward reverb into reverse reverb for a playful rhythmic interaction between both reverbs.
- Assignable momentary automation lets any one of the five knobs glide to a defined target in real time.
- Three Ramp speeds adjust the automation glide time between 10ms, 1000ms, and 5000ms.
- Stretch Engine shifts sample rate from 0.5x to 2x speed.
- Three onboard presets with seamless transitions between sounds.
Walrus Audio is bringing the Lüm Texture Engine back as a permanent member of the Core Series. Originally offered as an experiment, the Lüm earned a dedicated following and continued demand from players looking for inspiring new ways to shape and manipulate their sound. Drawing influence from the Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator, and Fable Granular Soundscape Generator, the Lüm combines granular processing, reverbs, automation, and presets into a creative platform capable of producing everything from subtle layers to complex sonic landscapes. Lüm was built for those moments when familiar sounds start to feel predictable. By fracturing, stretching, and reshaping your signal in unexpected ways, it encourages experimentation and rewards curiosity, helping turn routine jam sessions into opportunities for discovery.
The Lüm features three distinct modes:
- Mode I: Grain Cloud - A granular texture built from dual taps reading from a feedback delay line. This takes your signal and fragments it up into little glitches.
- Mode II: Grain Verb - A granular reverb built from dual taps reading from the delay memory of a reverb algorithm tank. The result is a dense, washed-out texture where grains are fully embedded in reverb. Almost as if the grains just took a bath in reverb.
- Mode III: Forward / Reverse Verb - A forward reverb algorithm running into a reverse reverb algorithm. You’ll hear a playful rhythmic interaction between the forward and reverse reverbs.
- Additional features include a Moment switch for real-time parameter control, adjustable Ramp times, a Stretch Engine with sample-rate manipulation from 0.5x to 2x speed, three onboard presets, and selectable trails or no trails modes.
