EHX Bender Royale is a classic germanium Mkiii 3-transistor fuzz pedal with massive tonal control. Inspired by the storied history of the 3-transistor circuit, it delivers everything from thick, smooth fuzz to brash, sputtery textures, perfect for trashy leads or big, saturated rhythm tones.

Classic 3-Knob Controls

• VOL: Adjusts output volume.
• FUZZ: Controls input gain for varying fuzz intensity.
• BASS: Passive bass control, from woolly lows to tightened response.

Modern Upgrades

• FAT Switch: Adds a massive bass and low-mid boost for thickened tonal textures.
• CLIP Switch: Changes the final germanium transistor stage from Ge to LED for a rougher, rowdier edge.
• BIAS: Adjusts overall circuit voltage, creating smooth, sputtery, or gated ripping tones.
• TREBLE: Active treble shelving filter to tame high frequencies.
• BLEND: Mixes dry signal back in for clarity and attack with other dirt sources or bass tones.

True Bypass & Switching

The Bender Royale features mechanical true bypass with a soft footswitch that supports both latching and momentary operation. Click for standard latching or hold for momentary action, ideal for quick bursts of fuzz or clean tones.

Power

The pedal comes equipped with a 9V battery and is compatible with a standard EHX 9V DC power supply.
