At the core of the platform is a purpose-built electric guitar equipped with the GTRS Intelligent Processor System, developed in close collaboration between master guitar builders and Mooer’s sound engineering team. This onboard processor works hand in hand with the free GTRS app, enabling deep integration between classic guitar tones and advanced digital simulation technology via Bluetooth connectivity.
The Standard 801 (S801) model is designed to feel and perform like a traditional electric guitar when the digital system is disengaged. Its American Basswood body, one-piece Roasted Maple neck, and Maple fingerboard provide a familiar response, comfort, and resonance, ensuring that players can rely on the instrument even with the GTRS system and app turned off. Standard Volume and Tone controls, along with a conventional pickup selector, allow full tonal shaping without concern for battery life or digital operation.
An S-S-H Alnico V pickup configuration was carefully selected to maximize tonal flexibility, offering everything from articulate single-coil clarity to powerful humbucker-driven tones. When the GTRS system is engaged, the guitar expands into a powerful digital platform, controlled intuitively via the unique Super-Knob, which allows quick access to presets and output options with a single turn or press.
Through the GTRS app, players can edit and store presets directly on the guitar, explore a wide range of amp models and effects, and upload or share sounds via the cloud with other users. The GTRS ecosystem is also optimized for modern workflows such as live streaming and mobile recording. Bluetooth connectivity can be used alongside a USB-C OTG connection, allowing direct audio capture to a smartphone or tablet without the need for additional interfaces.
