EMG 40P5 5-String Electric Bass Pickup

EMG 40P5 is EMG’s P bass pickup in an extended range housing with the treble magnet closer to the neck (like a Spector or Yamaha bass). It is intended for 5-string models that have normal string spacing.

The EMG 40P5 covers a wide sonic palette of classic and modern bass sounds. Because the 40P5 utilizes ceramic magnets coupled with short, squat coils, the tone has brilliant high-end articulation, warmth, and incredible low end punch. Countless pros use this bass pickup because of its natural presence, superior dynamics, and low noise.

This model uses an extended housing that is 4 inches (102mm). For even more headroom, you can use this pickup with 18V power (see the pickup’s installation instructions first).
