Deconstruct your tone with the Electro-Harmonix Atomic Cluster Spectral Decomposer — a unique glitch and synth pedal that breaks down your signal into musical and experimental textures. Its innovative algorithm reduces frequency resolution to create rhythmic lo-fi glitches, auto-arpeggios, ambient synth pads, and beyond.
The Electro-Harmonix Atomic Cluster Spectral Decomposer features two primary controls: ATOMS and SPEED. ATOMS determines the number of simultaneous resonant oscillations generated at any given moment, ranging from a full spectrum of your input signal to a single note. More oscillations result in a tone closer to your original signal, while fewer oscillations create a pixelated, glitchier sound. SPEED adjusts how fast the pedal refreshes these oscillations, controlling the timing and rhythm of the effect. Slower settings can emulate a rhythmic step filter, whereas faster settings create chaotic, randomized textures. SPEED can also be controlled via tap tempo. Additional VOL and BLEND knobs adjust the overall output level and wet/dry mix.
The MODE button toggles between SHARP and SMOOTH modes. SHARP produces instant transitions for immediate, rhythmic effects, while SMOOTH fades oscillations gradually into one another, creating lush, ambient textures.
